The Monessen Public Library’s Summer Reading Program “Dream Big: Read” will run June 30 – August 5. Themes include:
• Week 1: American Dream
• Week 2: A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes
• Week 3: Dream Weaver
• Week 4: Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream
• Week 5: Hold On Tight To Your Dream
Storytime programs for pre-schoolers are Mondays 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Fridays 10:30 a.m.
Readers ages K & up can attend a story and craft program on Wednesdays 2 - 4 p.m. or 4 - 6 p.m.
Register at the library and pick up a reading log to track the titles read and to qualify for rewards and prizes.
There will be a Reading Award Celebration at the close of the program on Sunday, August 5 from 1 - 4 p.m.
This year’s top prize is a Nook e-reader. Gift certificates from Sarris Candy, iTunes, and Barnes and Noble, plus books and small toys can also be won.
