Geralyn Caruso, who will be a junior in the fall at Ringgold High School, has been recognized by the United States Achievement Academy and given the prestigious honor of a student of excellence in Foreign Language. The Academy recognizes students upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors, and other qualified sponsors and upon the Standards for Selection set forth by the Academy.  Geralyn was nominated for this honor by Kristin Vujevich, a Spanish teacher at Ringgold. After taking Spanish I and II in her freshman and sophomore years, Geralyn plans to continue to study Spanish in her junior and senior years at Ringgold. She has not decided on a career yet but is contemplating a career in transcription, translating or interpreting. Geralyn is the daughter of Kelly Caruso and the late Gerald Caruso of Elrama. Grandparents are Ronald Lagona and the late Patricia Hallas of Jefferson Hills and the late Louis and Anne Caruso of Pleasant Hills.
