WCCC Mon Valley Center Offers Fall Credit Classes
 
Westmoreland County Community College is offering fall credit classes beginning Thursday, August 16 at the Mon Valley Education Center, Fells Church Road, Belle Vernon.
 
Fall classes are offered days and evenings and meet once or twice a week at the Mon Valley Center located off Route 51. In addition to applying to WCCC programs of study, the credits earned will transfer to most area colleges and universities.
 
The fall schedule includes courses in biology, business, computers, criminal justice, English, math, office technology, personal development, philosophy, political science, psychology, reading, sociology and speech.
 
Complementing the Mon Valley Center courses are more than 230 online classes which also begin August 16. Online classes, which can be completed at home, offer convenience and flexibility and count the same as classroom-based courses.
 
WCCC tuition for Westmoreland County residents is $90 per credit, which is the lowest in PA. Additionally, WCCC is ranked 40th among U.S. colleges with the lowest net pricing by the Dept. of Education.
 
New students must complete an application for admission prior to registering for classes. For application materials, the complete WCCC class schedule or to register, stop by or call the Mon Valley Education Center at 724-379-4119 or visit wccc.edu. New students enrolled full-time may also take the placement test by appointment at the Mon Valley Center.
