Preference.”
The RMS science teachers worked for months with their students to develop over 250 projects ranging from experiments, models, and demonstrations that were displayed throughout the month of May.  Thanks to this year’s judges selected by the PTA Science Fair committee, Mr. Mautino and Ms. Kathleen Mancinelli. The top three winners were selected.

First place
“Paw Preference” project determined whether cats were “left-pawed or right-pawed.” After spending time with 50 cats at the Washington Area Humane Society’s CatCastle, McMichael and Schmidt discovered that cats are mostly left-handed, or “left-pawed.”

Second place:
7th grade students Angelica Amatangelo and Katherine Hubert earned second place for their "Fingerprint Patterns."

Third place:
8th grade students Cassandra Lignelli and Julie Kogler took home the third place prize for their "Blood Splatter Analysis."
