RMS Annual Shakespeare Festival a Big Hit

This year, RMS teacher Sara Phillips chose “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for the annual Shakespeare Festival. The romantic comedy was performed by RMS GEAR (Gifted Education At Ringgold) students. The play was double cast as performed once in the morning for sixth and seventh graders and again in the afternoon for eighth graders. Students began preparing their roles with a field trip to Pittsburgh Public Theater’s production, earlier in the year. The play was well performed. The proof was heard in the student audience’s laughter at appropriate times. The cast performed for the elementary schools, local nursing homes and Monongahela Senior Center.
