Peters Township Infuriated by New Shale Gas Drilling Law

Members of Peters Township Council are in a furor over the passage of Marcellus Shale gas drilling legislation, House Bill 1950, which they say takes control of zoning authority over drilling away from local municipalities.

Union Township Board Voices Opposition to Ringgold School Board Actions

The facilities usage plan being considered by the Ringgold School Board that would ultimately result in reopening the old school buildings last used as Donora and Monongahela Elementary Centers and the closing of the existing Ringgold Middle School (Finley Middle School) came under critical discussion at the February 13 Union Township Board meeting.

Reopened 2012 Budget Receives Final Approval

J. Andrew McCreery was hired by unanimous vote of the Jefferson Hills Borough Council at the regular meeting held February 13. Since 2006, he has been the accounting manager for Upper St. Clair Township.
