August Fun Fest Scheduled at Cedar Creek Park
Cedar Creek Park is set to host the 2011 August Fun Fest on Sunday, August 14, marking the festival’s 25th year of community entertainment. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and admission and parking are free to the public.

Charleroi-Monessen Bridge Imploded

With a flash and a bang, the 105-year-old span of the Charleroi-Monessen Bridge was no more. The detonation started from the Monessen side of the Monongahela River and worked its way across to the Charleroi side.

Monongahela Donora Lions Club had its Duck Race at the New Eagle Beach Club Marina on July 3 during the kick-off of the summer events.
