Washington Area Humane Society Hosts 4th Annual Charity golf Tournament August 14

WAHS will be holding their 4th Annual Washington Area Humane Society Charity Golf Tournament on August 14 at Lindenwood Golf Club in McMurray. Hosted by Bernadette and John Sikaras, the tournament promises to be lots of fun for the skilled golfer and novice alike.

Graduates of Donora and Monongahela Valley Catholic high schools are gearing up for their third annual oldies dance reunion. And they are looking to expand their guest list for the festivities Saturday, September 17 in the social hall of the Donora Municipal Building.

South Park Ceremony to Honor Local Public Servants, Military Personnel and Vets on September 11

The South Park Township Board of Supervisors, in conjunction with Windover Hills United Methodist Church, will sponsor a September 11 Remembrance Ceremony at Sunny Slopes in South Park on Sunday, September 11 at 5 pm, rain or shine.

Disabled Veterans Enjoy "Get Away" Day.

On July 8, the Elizabeth Kastan Uveges VFW Post 7632 and the Alonzo L. Weigel American Legion Post 553 and their Women's Auxiliary hosted a “get away” day for disabled veterans from the Veterans Center in Pittsburgh.
