Seniors for Safe Driving presents highway safety education programs for Seniors 55 years of age and older. The highway safety programs are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The successful completion of the program makes seniors eligible for a 5 percent discount on their automobile insurance premiums, across the board, for a period of three years. The discount is mandated by Pennsylvania state law.

There will be an Oldies Dance on July 12 at the Finleyville Community Center, 3547 Marion Ave. Finleyville, from 7:00 pm to 12:00 midnight. Cost is $10 per person and benefits the Ringgold Class of '71 Birthday Bash. Music by Mel's Magic Music Mix. Event is BYOE (bring your own everything). The following information is for the Venetia Community Center located at 800 Venetia Rd., Venetia, PA. We are sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging.
We have 2 programs in May for your interest and enjoyment. On May 9, Master Gardner, Nancy Meyers, from Penn State University, will come to make us great gardeners. We will also have Sharon Hixenbaugh, RN, to do blood pressure screenings. We will then have a delicious lunch prepared at the Canonsburg Senior Center and brought to our center by our faithful volunteers. All are welcome.
