Busy Saint Katharine Drexel Students Start the Year Running

Saint Katharine Drexel started out their new school year with many activities. Students as young as third grade ran with the cross country team. Girls’ volleyball season started and boys’ basketball tournament season started. Students honored God, honored veterans, and honored themselves with academic and musical excellence.

Ringgold Elementary North Celebrates Roberto Clemente

To say that Ringgold’s Joe “Coach Joe” Ravasio is a Roberto Clemente fan is an understatement. He’s had the rare opportunity to visit with the star player’s family. While vacationing in Puerto Rico, he decided to take a side trip to visit Clemente’s local hometown of Carolina. At Roberto Clemente Stadium, he had the good fortune to meet Clemente’s wife, Vera, and son, Enrique, who realizing what a dedicated fan he was graciously invited him to their home. There, he marveled at the sports and humanitarian remembrances held by the family–an engraved silver bat, golden glove, and countless other awards.
